A Fortress of Legacy, Tested by Intimate Tides
As Venus turns retrograde in the depths of Darren Woods' eighth house and Saturn retrogrades through Aries, the public monument must learn the language of shared power.
A weekly forecast for Darren Woods · 12–18 October 2026
Week at a glance
A renegotiation week rather than a revelation week. Venus retrogrades through Darren Woods' natal eighth house, reopening the books on shared resources and alliances, while Saturn retrogrades through Aries, demanding that the work be built from the ground up. The natal chart's waning crescent Moon suggests a cycle long in the winding-down; the transiting waxing crescent hints that a new chapter is quietly beginning — and a favorable trine from the Midheaven to Jupiter keeps the door to recognition open, provided the voice matches the moment. The architecture of reputation meets the shifting currents of partnership, resources, and hidden obligation; some of the load-bearing walls will need to be rebuilt from the inside.

Seven focus areas

Finance
High emphasis
Astrological background
Venus Rx in Scorpio · natal 8th house
Retrograde Venus at 5.95° Scorpio moves through Darren Woods' natal eighth house — the domain of shared capital, pooled risk, obligations, and the financial architecture of the enterprise he leads. Its square to his natal Venus in Aquarius reopens the question of whose ambition the money serves. This is a week for auditing old terms, not signing new ones.
- 55
Love
Moderate
Astrological background
Venus Rx square natal Venus · Mars opposite natal Venus
With retrograde Venus in Scorpio squaring the natal Venus in Aquarius, and transit Mars in Leo opposing that same natal Venus by only 0.75°, the line between loyalty and strategy blurs. Old alliances ask to be seen freshly, without the momentum of the original decision. Patience is the language of love this week, in all its forms.
- 72
Spirituality
High emphasis
Astrological background
Natal Sun square Neptune · 12th-house undercurrents
Neptune in Aries squares the natal Sun by only 1.80°, dissolving the edges of the official persona and opening a quieter search for meaning beyond the balance sheet. Saturn and Chiron keep their old vigil in the twelfth house of his natal chart, and the question 'What is the office for?' becomes, this week, a form of prayer.
- 68
Creativity
Moderate
Astrological background
Mars trine natal Mercury · 0.49°
Mars at 9.48° Leo sits within 0.49° of a trine to Darren Woods' natal Mercury in Sagittarius, giving conviction a clear through-line and the nerve to speak it. A bold gesture made this week is likely to land as both theatrical and intelligible — worthy of a boardroom or a broadcast.

Career
High emphasis
Astrological background
Sun square transit MC · MC trine Jupiter
The natal Sun at 0.69° Capricorn stands at the summit of the chart in the tenth house, yet this week it squares the transiting Midheaven at 1.01° Libra by a razor-thin 0.32° orb. At the same time, his natal Midheaven at 24.26° Sagittarius trines Jupiter in Leo at 21.90°, keeping a benevolent channel open for recognition, legacy, and the long game of reputation.
- 62
Health
Moderate
Astrological background
Jupiter in Leo · Uranus in Gemini · 6th-house themes
Jupiter in Leo and Uranus in Gemini both put pressure on the sixth-house themes of daily work, service, and routine. The healthy rhythm of the week is paradoxically flexible — enough structure to absorb the unexpected, enough rest to offset the expansion. Small, repeatable practices will carry more weight than heroic gestures.

Social
Moderate
Astrological background
Pluto conjunct natal Mars · 11th house
Transit Pluto at 3.07° Aquarius conjoins natal Mars at 29.62° Capricorn in the eleventh house of networks, while transit Mars presses the same axis from Leo. Power among allies, boards, and coalitions is being redistributed. Darren Woods may find that people once counted as fixed points in his constellation need to be renegotiated from a place of patience rather than pressure.
